Product Introduction
The OPGW suspension clamp is designed to securely hang and support optical cables on suspension towers. This clamp effectively transfers axial loads while evenly distributing radial stresses, thereby providing excellent protection for the cable and preventing issues such as excessively small bending radii or stress concentrations. The clamp’s gripping force exceeds 18% of the cable’s rated tensile strength. Additionally, it boasts superior fatigue resistance and helps reduce vibrations in power optical cables, offering an added layer of protection against mechanical wear.
Uses and Features
The spiral suspension clamp consists of an inner and outer layer of helical armored rods, a suspension head, and various connecting components. This spiral clamp evenly distributes the stress from the suspension point along the entire length of the helical armored rods, effectively reducing the static pressure on the optical cable and minimizing dynamic stress caused by wind-induced vibrations—thereby preventing damage to the OPGW cable. Additionally, it significantly enhances the cable’s fatigue resistance, greatly extending its service life.
