Product Introduction
The ADSS suspension clamp is designed to securely hang and support optical cables on suspension towers. This clamp effectively transfers axial loads, distributes radial stresses, and provides robust protection for the cable, preventing issues such as excessively tight bending radii or stress concentrations. Additionally, the clamp offers a gripping force exceeding 18% of the cable’s rated tensile strength, while also delivering exceptional fatigue resistance and helping to reduce vibrations in ADSS optical cables.
ADSS suspension clamps are classified according to the span length of the line into types such as tangent clamps, single-layer spiral-armored rod tangent clamps, single suspension clamps, and double suspension clamps.
ADSS suspension clamps are primarily used for fiber optic cable installations within 100 meters, while single-spiral armored suspension clamps are best suited for cable spans ranging from 100 to 200 meters.
Uses and Features
ADSS optical cables use two types of suspension clamps: single-layer spiral guard rods and double-layer spiral guard rods. The appropriate installation method can be selected based on specific requirements. The single-layer spiral guard rod clamp is ideal for installations spanning between 200 and 400 meters, while the double-layer spiral guard rod clamp is typically used for longer spans—up to 1,000 meters. ADSS cable suspension clamps consist of an aluminum alloy spiral guard rod, a suspension head, and connecting components.
