Product Introduction
The spiral strain clamp is primarily used for connecting optical cables to tension towers, angle towers, and terminal towers. Made from aluminum-clad steel wire or galvanized steel wire with excellent corrosion resistance, this clamp ensures superior mechanical and electrical performance, significantly enhancing its electrochemical corrosion protection and fatigue strength. The clamp’s gripping force is guaranteed to be at least 95% of the optical cable’s rated tensile strength. In addition, the spiral strain clamp is easy and quick to install—no specialized tools are required, and a single person can complete the process effortlessly. This not only dramatically shortens the construction timeline and boosts operational efficiency but also helps reduce overall project costs. Moreover, the installation quality is simple to verify on-site, requiring only a visual inspection without the need for extensive training. The complete spiral strain clamp assembly includes an outer spiral protective strip, an inner spiral protective strip, along with matching connectors and grounding wires as essential accessories.
Uses and Features
The OPGW optical cable strain clamp is primarily used to connect optional optical cables with a breaking strength of less than 160 kN to strain towers and terminal towers. The complete set of OPGW optical cable strain clamps includes an outer helical armor rod, an inner helical armor rod, matching connecting components, and a grounding wire, among other elements.
